Creative Portfolio

Hi!

I’m Hannah.

I’m a creative producer and marketing specialist from North Carolina, based in New York City. My specialty is transforming an idea into a polished final product, all with a smile on my face.

I’m an expert relationship manager that is comfortable leading. I know how to integrate brands into consumers’ lives in a meaningful way, unlocking relationships with new younger customers while engaging existing high-value loyalists. My experience as a producer and my in-depth understanding of the evolving media & digital landscape allows me to translate brand strategy into successful, measurable marketing strategy.

I thrive in the in between - orchestrating timelines and wrangling contractors, maximizing budgets and exceeding model expectations.

Education

University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill

I graduated with my B.A. in Public Policy from UNC-Chapel Hill’s College of Arts and Sciences. A large portion of my studies revolved around public policy analysis and research. This reinforced my established passion for analytics with a deeper understanding of metric-based storytelling. Accurately leveraging quality data and metrics can serve as a lighthouse in a sea of wayward marketing strategy; the learnings not only tell us what worked and what didn't, but can lead a skilled researcher to discover what to do better next time. This work allows me to offer data-driven recommendations that bolster sales, and ultimately, brand loyalty.

Hussman School of Journalism & Media

I also graduated with my B.A. in Advertising and Public Relations from UNC-Chapel Hill’s Hussman School of Journalism and Media. I studied the history of the advertising industry as a whole, from beauty to apparel to sports marketing. I developed my writing skills to meet journalistic standards, armed myself with crisis communication skills, dissected the boundaries of media law, and bolstered my understanding of what makes a brand successful. This work allows me to approach marketing strategy and development with a crticial eye that delivers impactful results.

BRAND DESIGN

Prior to Season 3 of the She Pivots podcast, I led a brand re-design for the show based on the client’s specifications. This included creating new brand guidelines with intentionally updated fonts, colors, styles, and show art. I worked with the Executive Producer and an illustrator to deliver the final assets to the client and show distributor.

TECHNICAL & DIGITAL

PRODUCTION

As Digital Producer for She Pivots, one of the first projects I was tasked with was upgrading the production of the podcast as a whole - this included new set(s), new AV equipment, and a new production strategy. I worked with design specifications from the client and outfitted two studio sets with AV equipment, lighting and sound that meets the industry standard.

WEB & DIGITAL

As Digital Producer, I manage all digital and social media channels, creating almost all content and copy distributed. Upon joining the client’s team, I was given a fragile WordPress website created by a contract developer year’s prior. It could not sustain backend updates without breaking, leading me to pitch and manage the development of a new, easy-to-use website that would stand the test of time (and plug-ins). While the full buildout was not feasible for my time and bandwidth, I managed the contractor hired, directed needs and design preferences on behalf of the client, and continue to maintain the site today.

A specific issue I recently solved for was the podcast page on this personal website. It needed to be easily updatable for the client and anyone that may manage the site in the future. Due to the way embededded audio content can be edited and displayed within collections, the standard blog-style form wasn’t going to work. I conducted my own research and produced a new design using custom code. This way, weekly episodes could be published in seconds with only three required fields on a form.

You can explore the website here.

Social Media Analytics

I manage all social media channels for the client and podcast. This includes end-to-end production management, from developing strategy within the client’s purview to creating and posting static, video, and written content. I introduced data-driven social media strategy to our content plan. Since I was given the responsibility, the platforms have seen growth in both follower count and impressions.

Event Production

& Design

On April 30th, a She Pivots Live interview with Fran Drescher was held at the Lincoln Center David Rubenstein Atrium. I acted as the lead event and content producer, set designer, and graphic designer, creating the on-screen visual, step-and-repeat, and stage design you see below. I owned this project from start to finish. I met with the venue team on-site to learn about the space and materials available, created the project design plan, managed the delivery of the assets, and oversaw the activation.

Design

She Pivots was invited to ring the NASDAQ closing bell to celebrate the launch of Season 3 of the podcast. To the right, you’ll see a a mockup of the NASDAQ tower design, a still image of a video I created for the marquee, and me at the event.

Before this project, I had never rendered content in Adobe After Effects. With 48 hours to prepare, I taught myself how to use the program and successfully delivered all media elements seen here.
